Newborn Session | Baby Addy
Things I love: chocolate, time with my family, quiet time, and babies. Baby anything really…human or animal. :D Even more than all of that, I love when I have the opportunity to capture not only a maternity or newborn session but when I get to capture BOTH maternity and newborn for the same family! Capturing beautiful Halle when she was pregnant with this gorgeous baby girl, and then capturing baby Addy not long after was a true blessing.
My photography studio in Canton, GA is the perfect place to capture images that your family can treasure forever. With props, bonnets, wraps, outfits, I have everything we need for a successful session together. I also have diapers, wipes, and diaper rash ointment on hand in case you run out.
When you schedule your newborn session with me, you can expect questions from me like:
-Are there any birth injuries I need to know about?
-Any health concerns/issues? Reflux?
-What is the color or theme of your nursery?
-Birthweight? Length?
All of these questions help me build a mental image of baby and prepare for baby’s arrival to the studio. The health and safety of baby are my top priority. I will never sacrifice baby’s safety for the perfect shot. Ever.
Another thing you should know…Baby leads our time together. Have you ever tried to reason with a baby? Fought with a baby to get your way? While you may eventually win, it’s much easier to listen to baby and adjust according to their comfort. It is definitely not unusual to see me adjust what I am doing for the happiness and safety of the baby.
I am also very patient when it comes to babies. You will see me settle in to wait for baby to settle into a pose, and then adjust with small, tiny movements. Some call me the Baby Whisperer or the Wrapping Ninja, but it really just comes down to listening, which is a skill we (meaning me…I mean me) could use more every day.
