North GA Fresh48 Sessions
Have you ever walked into a hospital room of a family that just welcomed their new baby into the world? The love is almost palpable. You feel it. They feel it. It is impossible to not get swept up in the love fest. We all look on this little one and squeee with excitement and stare in awe. It’s one big celebration.
From maternity bump to newborn photos, there are a lot of incredibly special moments to capture with a pregnancy and new family member. One of my favorite moments of the whole story is the Fresh48, so let’s talk about why it’s something you really don’t want to miss!
A Fresh48 photo session captures the genuine, once in a lifetime moments within the first 24 to 48 hours of your baby’s life earthside. These shoots take place in your hospital room or birthing center instead of a posed studio, and take 30-45 minutes. I'll be on call near the expected date, so once baby arrives, I can coordinate with you the best time to arrive.
This type of shoot is so very special because it makes a keepsake of those first moments that are gone in a blink. Baby’s first feeding, those little, wrinkly fingers and toes at the smallest they will ever be, the ankle bracelets placed on baby at birth, your family meeting its newest member for the first time, and that all too precious skin to skin hold.
Newborn photos bring the focus onto the baby with adorable poses and props; the Fresh48, however, is the absolute raw love of a family being forged. A moment that can’t be replicated and a moment that can’t be replaced. Think sacred, emotional, candid, and a brief glimpse in time I promise you will never want to forget. In fact, many times emotions are off the charts, exhaustion is at an all-time high, and these photographs remind you of moments your brain may well forget in the midst of it all. For a moment this important you deserve someone who understands what an honor it is to capture it. I’d love to be that photographer for you.
